LGBTQ+ Models

The same professional conduct that applies to any HHM model applies here — respectful address, clear direction and no intrusive personal questions about the model's identity, relationships or background. A model's LGBTQ+ identity is not a subject for conversation on a commercial shoot. Not all LGBTQ+ talent will have non-standard pronouns — gay, lesbian and bisexual models are typically gender normative and production teams should not assume otherwise. Where a production is specifically booking non-binary or transgender talent, HHM will provide relevant guidance on pronouns and preferred address as part of the pre-assignment brief. Productions that communicate any specific requirements clearly in advance through the booking process consistently run more smoothly than those that leave these details to be worked out on the day.

HHM represents gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender models as well as talent who identify across a broader spectrum of LGBTQ+ identities. The roster reflects genuine diversity of background, identity and presentation. Where a brief requires a specific identity, expression or presentation within the LGBTQ+ spectrum, this should be communicated to the agency at the point of enquiry so HHM can confirm the most appropriate talent. Authentic representation means casting talent whose identity genuinely aligns with the brief — not simply assigning the label to the nearest available model.
