They are distinct from other models because they highlight the beauty and essence of the pregnant form, allowing brands and companies to authentically represent the pregnant experience.

Here are the kinds of jobs that feature pregnancy models:

1. Maternity Clothing Brands: One of the most prominent sectors employing maternity models is the maternity clothing industry. These models wear and promote maternity wear, from casual and work-appropriate attire to special occasion dresses and activewear.
2. Magazine Features: Pregnancy and parenting magazines often feature articles on various aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood. Maternity models might be used for these feature spreads.
3. Advertising Campaigns: Brands selling products or services related to pregnancy, childbirth, or early motherhood might use pregnancy models for their ad campaigns. This could be for items like prenatal vitamins, stretch mark creams, pregnancy pillows, and more.
